When in Formentera in June 2015, one evening we went out on one of the Llauts from Sa Barca de Formentera. The boats, all named after characters from Star trek, are modern replicas of the traditional local fishing boats. As we were just going on an evening trip we were on one of the smallest, with sun-bathing deck but no cabins for overnight stays. The six of us were taken first to the point to the west of La Savina where we dropped anchor in crystal clear water and swam off the boat surrounded by fish of all types and sizes. We then up-anchored and motored across to Espalmador, anchoring just off the beach and swimming ashore to explore the island.

This is a must for anyone with a boat license! We have been back two years running and spent another wonderful day on one of the little Menorquin boats cruising around Formentera. Super friendly service, helpful advise and good value for money. The boats are in excellent condition and come with snorkelling equipment and picnic utensils

Amazing Mediterranean experience! Sabarca team explain you everthing, and the Llaut Spock is great, classic style, very confortable and fully equipped. We anchored in Espalmador, amazing sunset and overnight experience on board. Alfresco dinner and midnight swimming in tropical-like conditions. Getting off the boat and having the island all to yourself at sunrise is a lifetime experience. It was the highlight of our honeymoon (even after being a week cruising deserted islands on La Maddalena and Orosei Gulf on Sardinia). Thank you Ferran and his team, ideas like yours make people happy. Keep up the good work, we’ll surely meet again our next time in Formentera!
